Baked Cajun Chicken Wings

A spicy, sweet and tangy mid wing dishes using the unique Spicy Cajun seasonings and baked in a small oven toaster ^^

Yield: 19 mid wings

Ingredients
650g mid wings

Marinade
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper powder
1/4 tsp dark soya sauce

Basting sauce
1 tbsp tomato paste
1 tbsp golden syrup/ honey
1 tbsp Cajun Seasoning Mix
1 tbsp lemon juice
1/4 tsp seasoning powder, optional
1~2 tsp water (for diluting the sauce)

1 tbsp golden syrup / honey (to be added for final basting )

Since these ingredients are edible, you can sample the sauce and adjust the quantity based on you taste :)

Mix all basting sauce ingredients together, except water and 1 tbsp golden syrup.
If the sauce is too thick, add water to make it spreadable. Set aside.

Direction
1. Rinse and drain the mid wings. Add marinade to the wings and mix using your hands.

2. Arrange the wings, in a single layer on a baking tray lined with parchment paper, and bake at 180 degree for 10 minutes.

Flip the wings and bake the other face of the wings at 180 degree Celsius for 5 minutes.

3. Apply the basting sauce over the wings.

Bake at 200 degree Celsius for 5 minutes.
Flip the wings and apply the remaining basting sauce over the wings. Keep about 1/4tsp of the basting sauce.

4. Mix the remaining basting sauce with 1 tbsp of golden syrup or honey.
Baste the sauce over the wings. This will help the wing to gain a glossy coat after baking at 200 degree Celsius for 5 minutes.
Let the wings stay in the hot oven so the remnant heat will cook the wings to tender.

Ta ta, the baked Cajun wings are ready.

Serve with warm rice and steamed cabbage :)
